Responsible for managing a small permanent staff (with the ability to draw from our national staff of engineers as needed) at this location where our vehicles’ vast array of sophisticated electronic and transmission equipment are maintained, repaired, upgraded, or replaced. Prioritizing, planning, scheduling and assigning personnel, and executing maintenance on the vehicles are part of my daily duties. Adjusting for emergency repairs and constantly shifting corporate priorities make the position a challenging endeavor.

Coordinated all aspects of NASCAR weekly satellite and fiber transmissions at each locale, and created billing information for the accounting department. Coordinated logistics for all college football games for multiple locations with ESPN and as many as 15 satellite trucks and operators per weekend. Simultaneously managed logistics for 10 satellite truck operators and their equipment through 49 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.

I worked in the Millworks and Flooring departments as well as overnight freight team. I had the highest sales in Millworks for 20 weeks running. I was then promoted to Department Supervisor in the Flooring department and tasked with getting the department in proper order.

Designed and managed large and small-scale projects from inception to completion adjusting the cost/performance ratio with client feedback to achieve optimal results. Installed systems, analyzed and resolved all technical issues with computers, digital and analog audio/video, access control, and automation systems. Managed I.T. security and operations from Mac and PC to networking and digital server based VOIP phone systems.

Consulting on I.T. systems, designs, operating systems, software, and hardware. Consulting and deployment of digital signage for retail, food service and banking.

Directed all company operations, daily project management and installation scheduling & oversight. Responsible for IT systems and security, sales support in A/V systems design and documentation, purchasing and acquisition, personnel and client scheduling, customer support and help line, employee training, education, and certification, client database, and sales database management.

Managed the production facility operations and maintenance as well as on air operations staffing and training for two networks; College Sports Southeast and HealthSouth Patient Network. Developed and executed a strategy to migrate an archaic TV network to digital video server system over a period of 30 days. Provided IT operations and IT tech phone support.

First Team Productions provided mobile satellite uplink and on location television production services. I managed the company as well as provided engineering services to maintain and upgrade the hardware. I was primary operator of the mobile uplink trucks.

I was responsible for overseeing electronic maintenance for all equipment from production to broadcast transmission. I was also responsible for on air operations as well as engineering for mobile productions and satellite transmission.

For three years I worked as an engineer in the Air University TV production center in Montgomery AL. I was selected to be an instructor in the communications training center in Denver, CO and held this position for four years.
