I am a bright, hard-working and positive individual with over 25 years experience at two leading commercial radio stations, Wave 105 and Cornwall's Pirate FM. Due to changes within the radio industry I've set up my own business, Gary Parker Digital Marketing and Media providing professional web design and social media management services. I also work freelance for Nation Radio.I started as a Producer in 1998 arranging lifestyle and celebrity interviews whilst building strong relationships with agents, promoters, PR agencies and record companies. I was also given the chance to interview some of the stars. I have a calm, polite and approachable manner.I'm a superb team player having operated across programming, commercial, web, social media and marketing and can work to tight deadlines. I was given extra responsibility to manage Pirate FM's social media portfolio from August 2022 and in turn responsible for close to a million social followers across two major radio brands.My role also included writing station newsletters and e-solus client content (B2C & B2B) along with designing and executing social media strategies for programming, commercial clients and the charity arm of Bauer Media, Cash for Kids. I have extensive knowledge of CMS systems as well as Canva, Responsys, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Audition.I hosted Wave 105's Early Breakfast, as well as providing daytime cover and presented Weekend Early Breakfast on Cornwall's Pirate FM. I have raised over £18,000 hosting charity shows and quiz nights and in my spare time enjoy long distance walking, chill out music and choir singing.Working at Wave 105 and Pirate FM played a major part in the success story of these stations, ahead of the merger, and it's what drove my passion in the business. Now I'm embarking on the next exciting chapter of the life of Gary Parker!
