It all starts with a dream. A challenge. Something so great and far from reach that it's believed to be impossible. Growing up as a child, Like many, I loved video games. Never did I think that path would bring me to the success I’ve experienced today so far in the industry. While school wasn’t my specialty, That does not mean I haven’t been able to learn. It just means I learn a different way. After high school, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. And that’s okay. But as time goes on, and you start to worry and grab onto anything you can to feel that taste of success and direction. No matter what position I’ve worked, One thing has remained constant and that was my desire to learn and grow. After close to 10 years in the retail industry, I worked my way up from pushing shopping carts to becoming stores Asset Protection Lead. I went from dealing with irate customers in the parking lot to sitting next to store managers giving financial advice. Hands on, I learned tons about the customer service industry and managing financial goals. But all that I learned was an illusion of what I actually wanted. I challenged myself to succeed, which I did, However; that didn’t resolve sending me home feeling accomplished. The universe felt my energy and sent me a huge wakeup call in the form of a physical altercation with a shoplifter resulting in a skull fracture. While this was one of the most unfortunate circumstances I’ve experienced, I attribute this sense of violence as the trigger I needed to pursue my passion. Hungry for change and not taking No for an answer, I changed my life and got hired into the video games industry. It has been everything I thought it would be and better. While most stay comfortable, I stay hungry and continue looking for where I could be of most value.
