About Gary Robins
I have great passions for food, wine and supporting the dignity of every person. That is the foundation of all I do. It is a core for all human's and that need is what I understand. These passions I have express themselves in the form of a cheer leader, I love food, wine, and people, you should try and, see what you like. Food: Food is, for you, more than just eating for you. There is so much exciting food out there it makes me giddy. I feel God gave us so many varieties of food to try and enjoy, there is even better news, He gave us all the varieties because he does not expect us to like it all, He just wants us to find out what we like. Life would be sad if all we had were Red Delicious apples.Wine: There is magic in wine. There are perfect pairings for every wine, Oysters and Champagne, foie gras and sauternes, Cabernet Sauvignon and rib steak. These pairings take the food and the wine and combined create a whole new flavor, seamless and magical. But as I have found not all can experience this for one reason or another. So I believe, with wine, everyone is right. No matter how expensive the wine, no matter how many points, no matter what anyone said...drink what you like.Personal dignity: Every one deserved to feel safe and treated with dignity. I feel this first needs to be felt is in the home as a child. Children need to feel safe, and have opportunities that will allow them to thrive and see their true place in the world. I am on the board of The Children's Home Society of Washington so I can effect change. I was adopted from The Children's Home Society of Washington into a wonderful family. My father served on the board of the same outstanding organization for 45 years, so follow his legacy and work for an effective way to help make the world better than when I arrived.
