CurrentSupporting Akur8's global insurance industry customers using Arius and emerging reserving solutions.Arius is a P&C-focused reserving software solution developed by Akur8 (previously Milliman) insurance solutions team based in Atlanta, Georgia which allows actuaries to smoothly and efficiently perform enterprise reserving processes within an easy to use interface. Comprised of both a cloud-based architecture and a desktop solution Arius serves more than 1,100 clients globally across user proficiencies ranging from entry-level analysts up to chief actuary. One of the ways which I drive results within the team is by assisting clients with implementing and using Arius in the their reserving operation. I develop an understanding of their data, processes, and reporting requirements and I then work directly with the clients to understand their unique analysis needs. I facilitate analysts/actuaries to develop proficiency and to determine better ways they can utilize our tools to achieve their desired results. A feature commonly utilized by users which I am principally involved with is utilizing Arius’s API to interact directly between the software and MS Excel, R or custom Python code. Furthermore, I provide key advice to our application engineers regarding our clients’ use of the software and what new capabilities will be helpful to them.
