About Gary Roskell
I'm currently working as Chief Executive of Bromsgrove and Redditch Network. I have a strong track record as a leader and senior manager in the third sector. I have an excellent fundraising and management background with trusts, foundations and lottery fundraising a particular focus, and also experience with membership, volunteers, sales and commissions. With previous roles including CEO, Development Manager, General Manager, trustee and governor, I have worked at a senior and strategic level in the arts, education, health, conservation, and community action. Previously I was Development Manager at The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham & the Black Country, where I led on development (particularly Trust fundraising), membership and communications for the Trust. Prior to joining the Trust I was Chief Executive of The Play House for 6 years, an educational theatre company based in Birmingham. I joined The Play House in September 2003 as Company Administrator, becoming General Manager in September 2004 and Chief Executive from April 2006 until April 2012. I have also volunteered for a number of organisations (see Volunteering, below).I worked for 12 years as a freelance Stage Manager and Production Manager for theatre & production companies all over the country.
