We re-launched his boat service and manufacturing buisiness in 1986, at which time we created the brand name DUFFY Electric Boats. We built the company to over 100 employees, and manufacturing facility in Adelanto CA which produced 200-250 boats per year. We started Duffy Boat rentals in Newport Beach which became a major profit center for the company. We also started Duffy Care, the maintenance service contracts on the water in So. Calif. which have become another major profit center. I was ground zero for this brand. I sold my equity interest to Duffy Duffield in 2005.
