Library Administrator
• Directed an in-house marketing and public relations team which developed strategically-focused initiatives, campaigns, publicity materials, and web/social media that inspired learning, promoted reading, and enhanced community life for the 16th largest public library system in the US.• Directed the re-vamp of the library's literacy, homework help, job help, books for the homebound, and outreach programs through the better use of volunteers to support staff efforts.• Led an organization-wide team in the rebuilding of the enterprise’s website (saclibrary.org), from the ground up. The new site provides multiple users the ability to make content updates. • Led a team that transformed a staid library system into one offering hip/relevant services; via a new brand identity suite, Google Adwords, social/digital media, book-to-film tie-ins, etc.• Conducted a successful, strategic, re-branding campaign (circulation +11% over prior year) utilizing: Transit, out-of-home, radio, Internet, social media, and evangelical brand converts.• Instituted a change management framework which greatly improved workflow, internal and external communication, and institutional morale. Present to library’s board of directors.• Worked with Top 10 national advertising agency staff to produce a statewide PSA campaign (TV, radio, and print) for the California Library Literacy Services, a division of the state library. • Created a strategic public relations and advertising campaign to successfully defend the institution against a media onslaught and grand jury investigation; the result of a significant employee theft.
