I am a leader in the Assurance and Advisory team in the Sydney office of RSM Australia. My principle area of technical expertise relates to the statutory audits of mid and micro-cap ASX listed companies and large private companies. The clients I service are predominantly in the Adventure Tourism, Technology, Mineral and Mining, Education, Wholesale, and Import and Distribution Industries. I also service a number of foreign controlled companies and AFSL licence holders. I have serviced a number of other sectors in my career, and can easily adapt my skills to most audit environments.I relocated to Sydney with my family in 2008, and have been very focused in building a new client base. My clients can be assured of exceptional service, and I have thoroughly enjoyed building new relationships and networks with my clients in Australia.Where possible I try to support my clients by cross referring work to other clients and am always looking for opportunities to grow their business. I had had quite extensive commercial experience outside of normal auditing, and have a practical and commercial approach to solving problems. My clients benefit from this, and we grow together.

I was an audit partner responsible for the statutory audits of small listed companies and large private companies accross a variety of diverse industries.I pride myself on the relationships I had with my clients in South Africa, many of which dated back to the start of my career in 1995. My industry specialisation in South Africa was mainly in manufacturing, and specifically manufacturing in the second tier for the motor industry. I also serviced some large cleints in the import and distribution sectors, as well as mineral and mining exploration companies.My portfolio includes a number of the firms high risk engagements including the majority of the listed assignments, all the pension and provident funds, as well as all of the government projects funded by the European Union. I have been classified as a Key Expert by the European Union for the purpose of carrying out the systems, technical and financial audits of their donor funded programmes.I was actively involved with the developers of our audit software assisting them in designing a new and improved audit methodology. In April 2007, an opportunity presented itself to carry out risk management services to non-profit organisations throughout Africa. We used this opportunity to launch the firms risk management service offering, and I was assigned responsibility for this new department. I studied, wrote and passed the Certified Internal Audit Examinations in May of 2007 and the new department has grown rapidly since it’s inception in mid last year.

Identifying a merge partner and facilitating the merger of RSM Betty & Dickson, and Boake and Smith Randburg.
