ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• • Engineer, Design and successfully launched over 13 overhead headliner systems in for Chrysler, Nissan, VW & Toyota• Outline required lamination content to support customer performance needs• Engineer, Design and release plastic injection molded components for use with a headliner system• Pre-grain, Grain, Gloss and AAR approval through FCA engineering and craftsmanship studio• Engineer, Design and release wiring harnesses for headliner systems• Develop the electrical requirements of the headliner based on FCA device transmittals• Engineer, Design and release steel sunroof reinforcements to support edge wrapping technologies• Improved project EBIT during the development phase through superior part design allowing for a more efficient manufacturing and assembly process, improved use of resources, and quicker through-put by use of common components in the design process.• Generate technical documentation required for new business quotes.• Actively participated in the implementation of the first thermoforming line in the Grupo Antolin North American territory• Managed and facilitated Design and Studio Reviews, Engineering Disciplines, Best Practices, Lessons Learned, Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving methodologies on headliner programs• Worked with FMVSS201 safety department to develop CAE models to support validation and homologation of interior head impact performance with Chrysler headliner systems• Manage TCR cost saving activity on Chrysler overhead systems• Support all MOPAR/Service activity including work instructions, outline standard packaging and define part complexity for dealer service.
