My journey probably out just like yours. I grew up in a divorced household raised by a single mom who worked retail, so that meant many late nights & weekends. I played team sports through high school to stay busy. I had every job imaginable. Lawn service, landscaping, restaurant, retail, construction… What I knew was that A) I never wanted to work as an hourly employee ever again and B) I wanted to help to help others live happy, healthy lives.I went to college, got a degree & a job like I was taught. I couldn’t see doing this forever though. In 1998, my father died of cancer. I moved back to Florida & went into pharmaceutical sales to make more money while allowing more flexibility to take care of my mom, also diagnosed with cancer. She passed away in 2000 & I lost it…Cycling became my outlet. Training & racing become my "therapy". I raced successfully for 15 years, racking up numerous wins & 5 state championships. I also met my coach & good friend, Simon Kessler. I never realized how important this meeting would be to my life's direction.By 2011 my son was growing up so fast that it seemed like a blur. I felt like I was following in my parents’ footsteps working all the time, hearing about the events in his life but not getting to experience them. Maybe you can relate. Why does society accept that parents typically work just to pay someone else to raise their children?The world economy was in a tailspin with companies disappearing overnight. Unemployment was at record highs. Over 65% of my colleagues lost their jobs! Personal wealth was cut in half & the future was bleak. I had the proverbial "golden handcuffs" with a job that paid the bills, but did nothing to satisfy my passion or mission.Simon asked me to take a look at something. Though I was skeptical, he mentioned a CLINICAL STUDY & an ABC Primetime news clip. I’d been pitched 28 times before, however this time I was intrigued to take a look. Thankfully, I said YES! It’s been life-changing.I “retired” from pharmaceuticals. I've met thousands of new people, many who are now close friends. I've traveled all over the world, teaching time & financial freedom. I've fallen in love with personal development which has opened the door to speaking in front of up to 6500 people. I've also learned what complete time & financial freedom is - and fallen in love with it!I am most excited about using what I've learned to help others grow, develop, learn, achieve goals & turn dreams into reality.
