Strategic Financial AnalystKemet Electronics Jul 1991 - Jan 1997Fort Lauderdale, Florida, UsDuring my wonderful experience at Kemet, I had the opportunity to grow from a Second Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to a weekend Plant Superintendent. When my line was transferred to Mexico, I was selected to serve as a Quality Engineer. I was quickly appointed to be the first Financial Analyst at Kemet Electronics Tantalum Chip Business Unit. Based on my contributions to the Business Unit, which included a strategic database of actual costs of chips, we successfully increased the manufacturing margin from 4% to 44% and the volume from 4 million pieces per month to over 400 million pieces per month. Our employee base grew from 250 people to over 8,000 people in our business unit. I was then promoted to Accounting Manager and then Strategic Financial Analyst over the business unit, which had five plants in two countries with 8,000 employees. Under the excellent leadership of our team, we achieved a profit of over $365 Million dollars in one year.
