When Taqa Bratani bought the facility from Shell I was taken on by Taqa in a core crew role.In this role I had a production core crew role on Taqa Bratani’s Cormorant Alpha platform where I worked as a Senior Production Technician. My responsibilities were the safe and economic control and operation of all aspects of utilities, 3 phase separation, Gas compression, well-head ops (Cameron Xmas trees/ hydraulic control), Sea water injection, Glycol Re-generation/Gas Dehydration, Gas lift ops, Laboratory analyses, ESD Safety systems etc. I was responsible for preparing isolation documentation for ongoing work and get involved in permitry and preparation for larger shut-down work which was periodically carried out. I am CIA level 3 competent in DCS and field operation, experience gained on a top tier COMAH registered chemical manufacturing plant.. My duties as a CCR operator included monitoring,making necessary operational adjustments to the process via a Taylor MOD DCS 3000 system. Experience was gained in start-ups, shut-downs and response to critical situations. As a CCR operator was also responsible for the co-ordination of permits and associated documents. I was also an Emergency Response Team member as well as being an active on board first aider. -
