Researched and prepared bench memoranda for the judges of the Superior Court. Attended and assisted with short calendar, conferences, hearings and trials in civil and criminal cases.

Worked part-time as a student prosecutor in the Appellate Unit. Researched and wrote appellate briefs and prepared oral argument.

Worked part-time as a student prosecutor under SJC Rule 3:03 in Brighton District Court. Arraigned defendants, argued bail hearings, handled pretrial conferences, argued motions, conducted jury trials, and performed legal research and writing.

Assisted with various aspects of litigation, research, investigation, pleadings, motions, and trials on child pornography, electronic discovery, search and seizure, and firearms issues.

Reviewed petitions from incarcerated persons who claim that they have been wrongfully convicted. Organized and reviewed case files for claims of factual innocence; investigated potential avenues to exoneration; and drafted memoranda evaluating the merits of potential innocence claims.

Conducted legal research on consumer protection, environmental, landlord-tenant, property and contract issues, and drafted memoranda, demand letters, and motions.

Conducted legal research on family law and probate issues, and helped draft memoranda and motions. Attended court and assisted with divorce and child support modification proceedings.

Conducted arrestee intake interviews, completed eligibility applications, filed appearances on behalf of the Public Defender’s office in arraignment court, and served as a liaison between attorneys and their clients.
