Currently I am the Halifax Plants Manager with DND while also being the Chief Operating Engineer at one of their 1st Class Central Heating Plants Halifax, NS. Job entails overseeing the day-to-day operations of the heating plant through numerous activities such as;-supervising and scheduling shift engineers to ensure the plant is always under 24/7 supervision.-supervising and scheduling repairs to the heating distribution lines through CHP steamfitters and welders.-troubleshooting issues as they arise through problem solving, which may require acquiring goods, services, and personnel in addition, to ensure continuous operation of the heating plant.-liaison between other Halifax based Chief Operating Engineers in Halifax and the Plant Operations Officer. -scheduling inspections with NS DoL to ensure compliance as per NS Rules and Regulations.I am in possession of a 1st class Interprovincial Power Engineering certificate since late-2018 as certified from Nova Scotia's Department of Labour and Advanced Education.I completed studies towards a B'Eng in 2009 from Dalhousie University in Chemical Engineering.
