After 5 years of helping businesses across EMEA put their customer communications online by performing an end-to-end “presales -> proof of concept -> implementation” role, I saw an opportunity to improve the way businesses use email and SMS for customer communications. Following the approval of my business case for an e-Messaging solution in 2006, I managed the (offshore) development of the solution in 2007, launching e-Messaging on time and on budget at the end of that year. The first four enterprise e-Messaging sales also closed in 2007 and today the solution is deployed by many telecom operators, finance, insurance and travel companies across all regions of the world (America, EMEA & Asia).

Responsible for all technical aspects of the sale of enterprise online customer communication management solutions including customer presentations, proposal writing, proof of concepts and several implementations (including migration projects) too. Closely involved in the sale and implementation of over 50 new enterprise solutions throughout EMEA.

My role was new business sales and creating market awareness for the Anachron e-billing services with the senior management of utility, telecom and finance companies across the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and France.

Responsible for defining a secure and managed VPN (Virtual Private Network) service for launch throughout EMEA. Defined the processes for the sale, implementation and support of this service.The launch of the service involved training of most internal departments at World Online in the different countries where World Online was active and negotiating contracts for joint marketing and sales efforts with Intel.Presented this solution at several Internet security seminars throughout Europe to audiences of up to 170.

Responsible for defining Intelligent Network (IN) services for a new mobile operator in the Netherlands (Ben, now T-Mobile).Defined and wrote Service Specification and Customer Acceptance Test documents for Ben's activation process.Defined and presented to Ben solutions for location based services in line with their requirements.

Acquisition of new clients for the sale of high-value custom designed ship monitoring, control and navigation systems. Developed new OEM relationships with large engine manufacturers and won several new contracts for the supply of fully integrated bridge system to shipyards across the world.
