Dr. Gathai Mundia is an established leader in pharmacy, driven by a passion for patient care and safety. He advocates tirelessly for optimizing drug usage to enhance therapy outcomes while minimizing risks. Additionally, Dr. Gathai is deeply engaged in youth-led initiatives for more than 5 years, notably as the Director at Zihi Institute (formerly Students Against Superbugs Africa [SAS Africa]), where he spearheads efforts to address Global Health Security in pandemic preparedness particularly in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and infectious diseases across the continent.In his capacity as the Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya – Young Pharmacists Group (PSK-YPG), Dr. Gathai champions for professional development and community empowerment. His leadership skills empower fellow pharmacists and promote excellence within the profession. Moreover, his commitment extends to global health advocacy, where he actively contributes to initiatives promoting pandemic preparedness, policy advocacy, health system strengthening, universal health coverage and at large, championing for the achievement of SDGs.
