Volt Optics utilizes the electrowetting phenomena to create a pair of revolutionary varifocals. The glasses contain a fluid lens able to change prescription in real-time through varying a voltage causing an electrocapillary effect, modulating the volume of a high index refractive liquid in the lens--creating a distortion free visual experience for the user that can't be found on the market today.• Conducted experiments proving the electrocapillary and liquid lens optical effects creating proof of concepts and prototypes• Collaborated with law firms to obtain a provisional patent, file for a non-provisional patent, and form an LLC• Developed and pitched the business plan to technical advisors, clinicians, serial entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists
