About Gaurab Banerjee

I am an applied research engineer at Apple working on multimodal foundation models with a focus on audio. Currently, my work is focused on post-training. Prior to this, I worked on diffusion models as well as sensor/vision based tracking and detection models. At Stanford, I published two papers in deep learning (one on audio and one on generalized transformer pretraining). My summer internship work at Ford resulted in two patent applications. One on sensor fusion and vision transformer algorithms and one on pose estimation algorithms. I have further experience in design and teaching. My interests lie in applied research problems with an emphasis on understanding systems and driving work using clear evaluations/benchmarks.Please visit bit.ly/Gaurab to learn more!
