As Director (National Operations) for the Indian Army Quiz - 2023 initiative, my role encompassed orchestrating the intricate ground-level execution and seamless coordination across the nation. Entrusted with the responsibility of strategizing, mobilizing, and synchronizing the operational intricacies that underpinned the event's nationwide presence, my focus lay in ensuring every aspect of this national endeavor harmoniously converged to create an impactful and memorable experience. With a steadfast commitment to operational excellence, I navigated the landscape of execution to establish a unifying thread that bound the event's dynamic facets into a coherent and remarkable whole.

▪ Post superannuation from the Indian Army in Dec 2020, I served as the Uttar Pradesh State PMU Lead for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Immunization PMU from Jan 2021 - Mar 2023.▪ During my tenure I was responsible for providing technical and strategic leadership, overseeing administrative and managerial aspects, and ensuring effective monitoring of the project. ▪ I managed a diversified team of Analysts & Public Health professionals, planned / monitored their activities, and used multiple MEL frameworks to identify opportunities to improve immunization outcomes in the state. ▪ We worked closely with the state government, mutilple stakeholders and partners, to provide technical assistance, build relationships with immunization partner leadership, and also represented the PMU at national and state meetings and public health forums. ▪ Our efforts resulted in a 12 percentage point increase in Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) in our allocated areas of intervention. The project is now in its final stages of Implementation.

▪ Personal Staff officer and advisor to a General rank officer on all aspects related to protocol and equipment. ▪ Responsible for all protocol and equipment management related duties for the complete formation comprising of nearly 10000 troops along with assorted vehicles and other assets valued at over Rs 2000 crores.▪ Managed the warlike equipment inventory and material to include equipment maintenance, repair provisioning and all related activities.

▪ Commanded Class One Gazetted Officer, eight Class Two Gazetted Officers and 100 troops along with assorted vehicles and other assets valued at over Rs 150 crores.▪ Managed personnel and material to include training, motivation, administration, performance appraisal, discipline, equipment maintenance, accommodation, provisioning and welfare. ▪ Identified and implemented strategies for building team effectiveness by promoting a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie between above-mentioned team members.▪ Designed and implemented personalized career and welfare management programmes for soldiers and their families.▪ Visualised, conceived and presented an Eastern Command wide study Study on Media Handling and Leveraging of Media Towards Long Term Operational Advantages for the Army including a detailed tangible action plan. ▪ Effectively handled the coordination aspects between the Civil Administration, Civil Police, varied Para Military Forces, print and electronic Media while curfew was imposed in the city of Shillong due to the Tribal vs Non-Tribal clashes in Jun 2018.

▪ Formulated long-term policy and entrusted with management, visualization and development of CBRN training infrastructure for the troops of the Corps.▪ Visualised, controlled and monitored setting up and functioning of the Command CBRN Training School.▪ Visiting faculty for the conduct of CBRN Familiarisation Capsules, conducted at formation level in the Corps and for various courses conducted at the Command CBRN Training School. ▪ Lectured on varied subjects at the CBRN Centre for Excellence – College of Military Engineering, Pune during the conduct of biennial Staff Familiarisation Capsules.

▪ Processed Confidential Reports of all officers of the Division.▪ Ensured performance appraisal reports were as per laid down norms, carried out analysis of assessment and verification of correctness of appraisal reports of officers.▪ Designed processes to improve efficiency in the processing of reports by creating and utilizing a database for tracking files.▪ Provided as custodian, records of officers posted in the Division - as per service requirement.▪ As the President Mess Committee (PMC) for the Headquarters Officers Mess, planned, supervised and organised many official hospitality and administrative events with élan.

▪ Commanded more than thirty Class One Gazetted Officers, fifty Class Two Gazetted Officers and 800 troops along with up to 150 tanks and assorted vehicles and other assets valued at over Rs 600 crores.▪ Managed personnel and material to include training, motivation, administration, performance appraisal, discipline, equipment maintenance, accommodation, provisioning and welfare. ▪ Identified and implemented strategies for building team effectiveness by promoting a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie between above-mentioned team members.▪ Designed and implemented personalized career and welfare management programmes for soldiers and their families leading to a reduction in the attrition rate of troops.▪ Visualised, conceived and conducted a tactical simulation exercise based on existing software, to train 60 plus officers from formation level to subunit level, thereby reducing expenditure normally incurred in outdoor training with equipment.

▪ Managed various routine administrative and operational functions to include conduct and coordination of many specialized events hosted by the Directorate of Mechanised Forces.▪ Planned and organized the Annual Armed Forces Foreign Travel Plan for the Directorate to include detailed coordination with the Defence Attaches to the various Indian missions abroad, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External affairs etc.▪ As the primary Officer in Charge planned and managed the annual relief move plan of the various Armoured Regiments, Mechanized Infantry Battalions in coordination with the Staff Duties Directorate.▪ Maintained close interaction, liaison and rapport with various sister Directorates within the Army Headquarters as also the Armoured / Mechanised field formations.▪ Coordinated the provisioning of relevant data for answering of Parliamentary questions by the Minister of Defence, on as required basis.

▪ Coordinated operations, as Chief Operations Officer, of various subordinate organizations deployed in active counter-insurgency areas in Nagaland (North).▪ Involved actively in the coordination and in-depth analysis of various administrative and operational functions.▪ Coordinated movement including security of large bodies of troops for active operations.▪ Maintained close interaction, liaison and rapport with Civil Administration, Para Military Forces and Police for rendering aid to the Civil Administration as also maintaining public relations, media interaction and press briefings for Nagaland (North).

▪ Organized and managed regimental accounts as also personnel management to include security, personnel appraisal and training aspects of personnel in the regiment.▪ Utilized competencies gained from Data Processing courses to enhance the administration of the organisation.

▪ Maintained Confidential Dossiers of Cadets undergoing training for commission into the Indian Armed Forces.▪ Carried out analysis and closely monitored the Cadets progress as per individual Cadets capability and ensured the primacy of the concept of “Team before Self”.▪ Designed processes to improve training efficiency for the Cadets by creating and utilizing a database for tracking individual Cadets. ▪ Ensured Cadets performance appraisal reports were as per laid down norms without subjectivity. ▪ Provided as custodian, required records of a Cadet as per any service requirement.
