He carries over 22 years of work experience with 20 years in the Banking and Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) space in India, mainly in Infrastructure Project Finance, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Retail Asset financing domain. Having handled various critical functions across sectors at IIFCL, DCB Bank, Bank of Rajasthan and ICICI Bank, he has developed a comprehensive knowledge of Credit appraisal, Risk assessment, Price structuring, Policy formulation, Risk containment, Portfolio Management and Corporate Strategy & Planning. As a Chief General Manager at IIFCL, which is a Development Finance Institution for the infrastructure sector in India, he has headed various departments spreading across corporate strategy & planning, recovery and stressed assets, legal, corporate communications, corporate & social responsibility and human resources departments. In his earlier roles, he has gained experience in the Credit appraisal, project finance & loan underwriting departments.He has been a member in various committees like the Hydro Power Core Group of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Committee on Power and the Credit Committee of PMDO for Urban Infrastructure projects in India. He is also a nominee Director on the Board of IIFCL Projects Ltd (IPL). He actively provides inputs and assists members of various committees like the project finance group of the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee (IMSC) for financing of infrastructure investment under the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) of the Government of India, He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Amity Business School, Noida, India, has an Advanced Diploma in Management from AIMA and is a CAIIB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Pondicherry University, India.He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration from Aligarh Muslim University, India.
