Designed quality filters on embedded platform to enhance the quality of heart rate metrics derived from ECG, working with memory and power restrictions.

• Designed a prototype acoustic sensor to obtain physiological metrics related to respiration and breathing rate, by working with cross-functional teams – Wearables (mechanical), Algorithms and Firmware.• Outperformed commercially sold medical devices by increasing accuracy of reported metric by 16%.• Implemented SVM on MATLAB to classify human activities based on the data from accelerometer and gyroscope sensors

The research was based on the proposal to compare the megafans (delta formations) of Earth and Mars surfaces to determine the probability of availability of water on Mars near these megafans. I had the privilege of assisting researchers at NASA in this work by analyzing and processing satellite images of raised ridges on the surface of Earth and Mars. My contributions include:• Analyzed and extracted features like geodesic length, euclidean length and sinuosity from images of river channels on Earth and Mars. • Recorded and processed feature data to create gaussian models of features of river channels on Earth and Mars for comparison.• Performed hypothesis t-testing, chi-square testing and bootstrapping techniques to derive statistical parameters and deduce the correlation between the Earth and Mars models for further study.
