I work as Technical Specialist/Head of Remote Sensing & GIS Component for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assisted project “Community Based Forest Management and Livelihood improvement in Meghalaya” (MegLIFE) under Government of Meghalaya since September, 2020. Apart from this I am taking care of Meghalaya State GIS & UAV Center as Head/Technical Specialist. I completed Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS entitled “Geospatial Technologies in Evaluating Morphotectonic Features in Sub-Himalayan Region, India” from Department of Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO, Dehradun. Major areas of interest are application of remote sensing and GIS, in active tectonics, ground deformation, geomorphology, earthquake studies, water resource and natural hazards. Involved in a research project funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) entitled “Centre of Excellence for Climate Change and Vector Borne Diseases” at National Institute of Malaria Research, Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, India. Skilled in Image processing (Satellite and Drone) and GIS handling software ArcGIS, QGIS, Erdas, Geomatica and Envi.
