In this role, Gaurav managed the acquisition of InMage Systems into Microsoft (announced in July 2014) and led the team comprising of acquired and existing product managers and engineers to launch the service with acquired technology integrated in one year.To build something for India, Gaurav co-founded Curo, a predictive analytics + SMAC + IoT based digital healthcare startup, primarily focused on preventive health.Back at Microsoft, Gaurav built the team and led product for browser experiences in Microsoft Edge. Then he had an expanded role with full stack product leadership of system software for Surface devices, operating systems, browser experiences, and high-scale value-add services like the Microsoft Store.Gaurav then led all product and customer-facing operations for the Compass India organization. He incubated and launched multiple data and AI-first products built on a brand-new knowledge graph fully owned and operated by the India team. Our agent-centric platform is at the heart of our mission to help everyone find their place in the world.Incubated the Compass Real Estate Knowledge Graph (REKG) from a one-sentence idea to a multi-year vision - built the team from scratch wholly in India and launched two 0 to 1 products in ~six months that leverage / enhance the Compass agent network. First is an internal product for our sales team to target the best agents to recruit to Compass at the lowest customer acquisition cost. And the second is Find an Agent - an agent networking product to drive greater referral revenue and co-broking opportunities for Compass agents. Find an Agent launched at the Compass REtreat 2021 conference (see linked launch video) and in ~six months became the sixth most used product on the Compass platform (even though it exists only on iOS and not on Android / web) driving ~10% agent-agent connections for referrals and ~20% of all Compass-Compass agents two-sided transactions.
