-Developed a file writing API to create independence between the metering and replication feature spikes by recording the objects transferred into log file JSON lines.-Developed a metering publisher to run in a separate docker app which would read these lines from these log files and accumulate them based on the bytes transferred parameter before calling them metering API on these reduced number of lines. -In legacy system, replication service was calling the metering API every time an object was replication across regions which led to replication usage spikes causing metering server usage spikes.-Created dedicated graffana metrics and published them on the object storage front end dashboard for the team to keep track of how many lines are being written into the files and if any errors occurred.-Improved the number of metering API calls from replication service from 10,000 down to around 400 when in production.

•As an intern, worked on revising the IPSec implementation from using outdated library Raccoon to the open source Red-hat library Libreswan and automated the installation process for net backup appliance boot up•In the current state, IPSec was not FIPS compliant and this implementation was crucial in order to have Veritas able to service a fully functional IPSec to the public sector customers which leads to 10’s of millions of added revenue•As a part time employee, currently working on story points relating to the net backup appliance operating system such as working on STIG and IOT functionality•Also plan to port the IPSec implementation to other appliances like Flex-Scale in order to make it common software throughout the whole Veritas organization•Learned a lot about network security concepts while fixing bugs in the project as well as conducted Agile/Scrum stand up meetings with team mates

· Project involved packaging ML at the edge solution for re-usability by creating an asset to modify specific use cases and allow client to update applications running on edge real time through the AWS console by uploading new files to S3 bucket· In the current state, there is an extensive amount of time required to prepare an environment to build/execute (dependencies, configu-ration) that can be addressed with the use of containers· Used a greengrass lambda to generate application configuration dynamically using IOT jobs and containerized the application using docker and S3 triggers· Daemon running on the edge device also will be used to generate green grass group to use the container connector· Published project on aws-samples and code commit and made an internal blog for usage· Setup time for edge devices reduced 80% through deployment of application
