Blue Marble Microinsurance is a UK corporation owned by nine insurance entities – AIG, AXA, Zurich, Old Mutual, MMC-Guy Carpenter, Aspen, TransRe, Assa and Hamilton. Gaurav served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Blue Marble Microinsurance in 2018, prior to which he served as Vice Chairman in 2017, and was a member of the Board since 2016. During this time, Blue Marble launched various ventures across Africa, Latin America, and Asia.Blue Marble Microinsurance is a startup with a mission to provide “socially impactful, commercially viable insurance protection to the underserved” across the world. Had responsibility for "Agency and Alternate Distribution" for the Personal Lines Division Worldwide. The global role helped me develop insight into the markets, consumer behavior, legal / regulatory environment, personnel and talent potential across approximately 27 countries.

In 2001, Gaurav started the Personal Lines business for TATA AIG General Insurance and grew the business to a dominant position within a short span of time. Gaurav built out the greenfield retail operations in India.
