Worked on Citi’s global low latency client connectivity platform for the F&O as well as non-equity segment as Dev lead - APAC. My responsibilities included managing dev team and deliveries, ensuring smooth coordination between regional leads and contributing towards the system architecture.Key highlights of my Citi stint are -- Played a crucial role in delivery and coordination between dev, analysts, testers, FIX support to replace Citi’s old monolithic client connectivity platform with new microservices based platform- Contributed to the planning of client migration (F&O and non-equity flows) to the new system, tracked and reported the progress to higher management and ensured completion as scheduled- Owned the decommissioning of legacy system having 500+ servers, 100+ Unix users, 50 SSL certs and other numerous system integrations within a record time of two months without impacting any production flow- Led the QA automation project for F&O and non-equity segment- Received Citi Gratitude Platinum Award twice within the short span of the tenure

As a DVP, I managed- development of 10+ systems of Edelweiss's Private Wealth Management business (PWM) (team of 4 leads & 12+ full stack developers)- production support team (4 people)- AWS Cloud infrastructure of Private Wealth Management & Personal Wealth Advisory business & infra support (2 people)My role was to guide the teams, architect / design scalable but cost effective solutions & manage the deliveries.A special mention of my cloud journey -Edelweiss started its cloud journey as a part of its digital transformation initiative. Our business was one of the first to go full on AWS. I got the opportunity to contribute in designing / architecting the cloud infrastructure for our business. I could successfully migrate most of the systems to AWS within record time. This was much appreciated by business.

As Associate Director - Dev lead, I led the team of 8+ developers who were responsible for development of Julius Baer's (JB) middle office system (portfolio management system) & other peripheral systems used in wealth management business.I also worked as a Application Manager for JB's trading system (a vendor based product). I was responsible for managing the application in entirety which included vendor coordination, requirement gathering, documentation, delivery, testing, exchange interactions & regulatory audits. The team included offshore vendor staff & onshore team of 4 (testers/support staff).Key Highlights:I was instrumental in revamping the client wealth statement. It was not just a UI change but a major functional & tech upgrade. We introduced SAP BusinessObjects to give a niche UI, advance analytics capability, report standardization using templates, scheduling & field universes. The report was considered to be one of a kind in the industry.Architected an innovative mechanism to get the client statement on-the-go. With the integration of client reporting module & MS Outlook, I provided a facility to the users to get their clients' statement with just an email request. Components written included a monitoring service, a command parser, report service call & email sending utility. This became very popular amongst the Financial Advisors & CSO community as they could pull the client statement any time any day w/o having system in front of them.

As AVP - Dev Lead, I managed a team of 8+ developers who were responsible for development of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Portfolio Management System & Prospect Management Systems. I was instrumental in migrating these systems during Merrill – JB transition.Additionally,I designed & developed a tool named "Mass Printing Tool" which facilitated printing of documents either on plain or pre-printed stationary. The tool made filling the IPO forms very easy, which if filled manually would have been a very tedious & error prone task. The tool was designed in such a way that it could connect with the source systems very easily & can achieve STP. Technically, it was built with factory pattern & .net windows library.

As a senior software analyst, I was part of a team responsible to re-engineer a complete front office & back office system for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, India. Being the senior developer, my role was to contribute in the system design, develop complex logic, guide the team members & review the code. I was the key person to design various tech frameworks (namely Master, Transaction, Interface, Order entry & Cross cutting - logging & error handling)Key Highlights:I optimized a mutual fund order matching process. This was a complex query written in stored procedure (SQL Server) which used to run for 2 hours. With various optimization techniques, I could improve the process time by 50%. This was much appreciated by users.We wanted to have a unified module where all the system's interfaces can be managed. I was a key person to conceptualize 'Interface framework', document it & getting it developed. The module was built on a Plugin Architecture (design pattern). Any type of interface (files based, API, direct database etc.) can be easily developed & attached to the core framework.I developed Master & Transaction frameworks which helped in rapid development of the screens. The framework had unique dynamic screen rendering capability, built-in validations, screen & field configurations in database. Just make entries in database & the screen is ready.I designed & developed a tool which completely automated code review and build process with many checks & controls. The tool was integrated with Jira as well as MS TFS.

As a programmer analyst (.NET & VBA developer), I worked with Washington Mutual (WaMu) bank to design & develop many applications (with a project name Small Apps). It was WaMu's strategic project to consolidate & redevelop/upgrade their numerous small applications. I single-handedly managed all the deliveries & expected coordination with WaMu team.I was much appreciated for my work on Loan Review System (an automated solution to facilitate efficient review and reporting of credit testing activities) where I redesigned the application & introduced many features & functionalities.
