After previous employment in 2008 and talking to Andy about selling his company, I decided to purchase this business to expand my client base and work load in the Lancaster County area. Matthew Berberich specializes in professional gardening and other landscape-related services in the town or Port Townsend, Washington.

This two-year, tuition-free program is offered every year to approximately eight to ten individuals who have obtained at least a high school diploma and have one year of horticultural experience.Students work in all horticultural areas of the garden proper and receive intense classroom teaching from Longwood staff and other local professors and instructors. Graduates are sought by public gardens, commercial horticultural enterprises and estate gardens.

In addition to the required curriculum in the Longwood Gardens PG Program, I attended extra, weekly classes on various plant subjects such as Deciduous shrubs classes, Herbaceous Perennials, etc. Cumulatively, these classes discussed over a thousand different plants that could be used in the field.

Work at Beck's Landscaping consisted of garden maintenance for dozens of clients and mostly new garden installations including large plantings and hardscape installations.

Laborer and Manager of about 7 acres of nursery and greenhouse space, growing many species and sizes of shrubs and trees. Hydro-seeding was a common service that was provided as well as commercial foundation plantings.
