Leading a team of data scientists focused on delivering commercial value from data through machine learning within the Corporate Bank. I develop relationships with senior business stakeholders to uncover and prioritise a pipeline of projects for myself and my team to deliver on. I build out business cases for successful proof of concepts and work with technology teams to take these models into production.

Collaborating with senior business stakeholders to convert business problems into data science opportunities. Notably, I initiated the concept for and developed a gradient boosting product propensity model which released a 7-figure value return in its first year.

Driving a culture of data informed decisions in the Accelerator team by working with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate these into actionable solutions through:- Data engineering- Supervised and unsupervised modelling techniques- Natural Language Processing- Data VisualisationTechnologies used include Python, SQL (Hive & Oracle), Hadoop and Tableau

Over my time I developed a suite of interactive data visualizations that took the Commercial team from a point of limited engagement with data to a toolset that was at the forefront of the industry – crucially, with no formal requirements and based on my own self-initiated concepts.A key part of this was leading the delivery of training sessions to business stakeholders to grow engagement with data. I received an annual award in recognition of this work in December 2018.Technically, this was achieved through Oracle SQL for data engineering and advanced use of Tableau Desktop/Server for personalised, interactive, data visualizations.

This role continued on from my internship in which I completed my dissertation at SIMUL8. I took on the following additional responsibilities:- Collecting, analysing, and reporting on internal data using MS Excel and Predictive Analytics (BigML)- Implementing the key recommendations of the dissertation project which involves managing internal projects, training and furthering my knowledge of the simulation industry- Managing new inbound European sales leads- Engaging with SIMUL8's existing and prospective B2B customers- Developing skills in SIMUL8

I completed a project with SIMUL8 for my final year dissertation at Strathclyde University. The project drew upon both quantitative and qualitative data gathering, cleansing and analysis. Techniques applied include:- PowerPivot analysis of large data sets in MS Excel- Predictive analytics in BigMl machine learning software- Conducting interviews- Conducting an oval mapping session- Developing and analysing results from a web surveyThis role significantly developed my skills in Excel, conducting interviews, project management and also developed my awareness of the simulation/process improvement industry as a whole.

ElektroShack is my own online retail business which I launched in primary school and expanded online at 11 years old through consumer electronics. From £28 initial starting capital I have taken over £250,000 in revenue. I taught myself new skills to cope with rapid growth and maintain my position including trademark filing, accounting and marketing.
