The Parliamentary Digital Service provides reliable digital services for the House of Commons and House of Lords. Reporting to the Director of Planning and Delivery the Business Partner function is integral to the achievement of House of Commons and House of Lords separate strategic aims in line with Parliament’s digital strategy.My main responsibilities include:• As Lead Digital Business Partner am responsible for the direction of the function, setting goals and individuals' objectives in line with these.• Supporting the formulation and delivery of business plans, business strategy and investment bids for the teams I partner with.• Providing or brokering expert advice, support and services, including providing digital leadership and developing a deep understanding of partners objectives and ensure that, when appropriate digital solutions, are provided to support them.• Ensuring that relationships exist between digital and non-digital colleagues within Parliament, also connecting non-digital colleagues to each other where such collaboration would add value.• Enabling the delivery of Digital Service responsibilities, building credibility for the services provided, and creating effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

The House of Commons Library is an impartial research and information service for MPs and their staff.I worked with House of Commons Library senior management to promote innovation in the directorate and the delivery of service enhancements. Operating as the key link with digital service on tactical delivery and strategic improvements.Key responsibilities• Co-ordinate the delivery of the directorate's objectives in the following areas: - Product development - Presentation, dissemination and promotion of publications - Management of social media and online presence - Internal guidance and promoting best practice, including effective use of IT;

Working in the House Commons Library published briefings on topical issues in areas of statistical expertise in response to, or in anticipation of, MPs’ needs. Responded, orally or in writing, to bespoke requests from MPs for statistical information and analysis. This included developing relationships with high profile, opposition front bench teams in preparation for media briefing, debates in House, and policy development
