I am passionate about finance in the charity sector. Yes that might sound odd but there is nothing quite like the buzz you get when that grant award letter comes in with a "Grant Awarded" and you know all the time spent juggling figures to get a robust budget means that the programme can go ahead and you know that lives will be transformed.I love applying innovative solutions to process problems and have delivered two completely different online systems to reduce the admin burden of delivery teams as well as improve the integrity of the process.Part of the Senior Leadership team of a smaller charity allows me to bring my wider experience and learning to support the wider team. Every challenge is different, whether it be an HR issue, a process that doesn't work or even a finance issue, I'm always ready to try a solution and be willing to be the guinea pig if necessary.Leadership is one of my key skills - I believe in giving everyone a chance to develop and grow in their jobs. I'll let my team try new things and if it doesn't work we review what happened and take a new path. With a bit of encouragement everyone can grow in their job and it is important to harness the skils and passion for the the good of the organsiation.
