The Enterprise Data Steward role falls within the company’s Data Services / Data Governance streams and ensures the accessibility, usability, safety and trustworthiness of Insignia Financials’ data and information by overseeing all aspects of the data and information lifecycle, in accordance with established and evolving data governance principals.- Advocating Data Management, Data Governance and Data Quality; Ensuring business teams have the necessary data safeguards in place. - Supporting information owners in safeguarding against reputational and regulatory risks including adhering to APRA standards -- CPG-234 (Management of Security Risk in Information and Information Technology).- CPG-235 (Managing Data Risk).- CPS-230 (Operational Risk Management).- Data Issue Management – understanding root cause analysis and facilitating problem resolution.- Cultivating effective working relationships with management, internal staff and third-parties.- Keeping updated on changes in privacy and data laws and adapt to changes as needed.- Collection and management of critical processes, reports and data elements, including data lineage.- Collection and maintenance of an Enterprise Business Glossary.- Collection and maintenance of an Information Asset Library.

The Solution Design is a new role introduced into Insignia Financial. I have been assigned onto the following project streams within Evolve23 -• Migration and Decommissioning of MLC WRAP• Archiving Solution – MLC WRAP (and other related platforms)• Design of a secured document upload for advisers• Implementation of MLC Life Retail Insurance• Business Intelligence ReportingThis role has provided me with an insight into Insignia Financials’ systems, specifically the ASIS/Evolve 23 platform and surrounding architecture. This, and the other roles detailed below, have also provided me with a strong knowledge and consciousness around Data Security –• Protection of personally Identifiable data• Security access to client (and other) data• Risk prevention to data integrity and quality• Adherence to data regulatory obligationsDuring this period, I played an important role in the successful migration of 100,000 accounts from an MLC owned/managed platform to that owned/managed by Insignia Financial. Activities included all planning activities associated with deactivating and decommissioning application interfaces and infrastructure.

During this period I conducted workshops and analysis tasks in order to produce Solution Architecture and High Level Design documents for various projects within MLC Wealth -• Anti Money Laundering;• Foreign Account Tax Compliant Act (FATCA)• Protect Your Super Package (PYSP) legislation• Migration to IOOF (Evolve 23)• Other Small and Medium Projects (SAMP)I have also accepted secondment roles within the National Bank’s Retail / Personal Banking business, including Comprehensive Credit Reporting and CLICK 2 to Impact360 Replacement projects.My roles specialised in integration design tasks – integration between the core MLC WRAP platform and other internal/external systems.This role provided me with a thorough understanding of the Information Technology within MLC Wealth and furthered my knowledge of Retail Banking and WRAP/Superannuation processes and systems.

This was a seconded position for the duration of the National Bank's Direct Banking - Mortgages release • Assessing impacts of Change Requests raised by the Business against assets within scope of the Direct Banking Release project’s asset changes.• Assessing cross impacts of other projects initiated by the Business against the Direct Banking release project’s asset changes.• Preparation of Deferred Change Request Workarounds and Incident Response Plans.• Maintenance of the Asset Impact Register for project release.• Architecture related assistance to the Direct Banking release project’s Platform Implementation team.This role provided me with a broad understanding of the NextGen project, including -• Oracle assets, batches and interfaces within the NextGen platform;• National Bank legacy assets, batches and interfaces;• Assets and services provided by Third Party vendors and utilised by the National Bank;• Exposure to National Bank Enterprise Release procedures and activities.

This role involved developing Solution Architecture and Opportunity Architecture documents for MLC Wealth’s platforms –• Resurgence Insurance project.• Superstream Stronger Super project.• MLC Insurance Offer Upgrade project.This role provided me with a broad understanding of the assets utilised by MLC’s insurance offering, including interfaces with the National Bank’s core reporting and financial systems.

The SM5 application was Aviva’s Corporate Super platform.Developed Business Requirements documents, including the Trade Up of the ex-Aviva Employer Super platform to MLC’s Compass platform –• Gathering of requirements via workshops and one on one interviews.• Development of Business Requirement documents and other associated artefacts.• Presentation to Leadership teams and other stakeholders.

The SM5 application and database maintained Aviva’s Corporate Superannuation policy holders The role utilised all Senior / Analyst Programmer functions within the System Development Life Cycle – Preparing Project estimations and Project Plans. Preparing Functional and Technical specifications. Development of applications from specifications. System Testing. Reporting to Team Leader / Management. 2nd in Charge during the absence of the Team Leader  End User Support.The SM5 application was supported by a team of approximately 6 full time Developers and 4 Business Analysts / Testers.

This was a Team Leader role, managing up to 4 other developers.Applications under my responsibility were those developed and supported during my contract period (below), plus several other applications. I was also asked to manage a team of two developers supporting a client / server based Workflow system (AWD). The AWD application was a third party client / server application which also contained customised components written in Visual Basic and C++.Duties included – Staff Mentoring. Staff Appraisals. Preparation of Project Quotations and Project Plans. Reporting to Management. Senior Analyst / Programmer duties.Due to the applications reaching their maturity in their life cycle, this position was made redundant in August, 2003. I was offered, and accepted, the Senior Analyst (SM5 Application) position within the company, detailed above.

Development and support of various Front End applications.I became the most senior developer in Aviva’s Delphi based front end systems, performing Team Leader duties.All projects followed traditional System Development Lifecycle (Waterfall) processes and development used Object Oriented programming methodologies.I was offered and accepted the Lead Analyst position described above in September, 2001.
