I play trumpets and similar brass in many styles.I joined Pink Martini in 1996, and collaborate with the others in the group to create and present diverse styles of music to audiences all over the world. I also created the Shanghai Woolies, an eight-piece band that appeals to a huge range of music lover. Not only does it present some of the very best music of the twentieth century, not only is it fresh and unusual; it is handy, and extremely versatile, suitable and perfect for any musical situation and purpose. The project employs jazz, pop, swing, and blues from circa 1925 to 1945, with some hard rock or some classical music when it's the perfect thing.
