Prior to joining LaSalle, Gavin worked for the federal and state governments and the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club, where he served as Executive Director.Gavin Campbell grew up in Southern Illinois and received his B.A. Magna Cum Laude in political philosophy from Yale College in 1982 and his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1990. He is active in civic affairs, and has headed a number of non-profit boards including Leadership Greater Chicago and Landmarks Illinois, where he led the bid team to successfully acquire the Mies Van Der Rohe designed Farnsworth House and turn it into an international museum. He is currently a Sterling Fellow of Yale University and a Director of the Principia Corporation.
