Growing up, I thought I would be a zoologist. Later in school, I became familiar with microbiology and developed an interest in infections and how people got sick. This ultimately steered me to where I am today — leading Abbott's diagnostics business and the Abbott Pandemic Defense Coalition (APDC). At Abbott, I provide scientific leadership in infectious disease diagnostics by conducting groundbreaking clinical studies on diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, COVID-19 and others, in addition to developing new tests. My research is helping change the way infectious diseases are diagnosed and working to improve patient outcomes. I have more than 20 years of experience with Abbott and an extensive background in leading scientists in multiple R&D locations across the Americas, EMEA and Asia.
