MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES : ·Maintain the group’s procurement strategy for indirect as well as direct materials and components. ·Sourcing of various engineering items. ·Attaining quotations of engineering items both stock and non stock. ·Placing of purchase orders via the SAP system. ·Expediting of purchase orders and ensuring on time deliveries.·Monitor Supplier Performance & Quality of Goods ·Conduct vendor price negotiations in accordance with procurement and exports targets ·Savings Report ·Update & Improve Supplier Data Base ·Sourcing Of New Suppliers/Materials ·Attending Production/Engineering Meetings ·Attending Procurement Meetings ·Outsourcing of In-House operations ·Develop supply partnerships with special reference to BEE procurement to ensure the group’s requirements are met
