In the assembly department I worked in sub assembly, top level build, FAT and SIT. I worked myself up to being the team leader in the main assembly department being responsible for 15 workers within my area. In these positions I have been responsible for the following:- Pressure and function testing of equipment from component level to full tree assemblies, including hydro and gas. Assembly of equipment, including identification of the preferred methodology where not described in the assembly procedure. Interface testing of equipment external to the tree assembly, including 3rd party supply. Operation of the full suite of instillation and work over tooling for the wellhead and tree systems. Maintaining documentation throughout the assembly and testing process to ensure that internal and external QA standards are met. Holding toolbox talks and wash-up meetings to identify potential safety issues and ensure that all necessary steps for mitigation are taken. Induction of 3rd party personnel to the FAT and SIT areas to make them aware of the hazards associated with this environment such that they can work safely within the Cameron plant. Operation of the SAP system to access bills of material, non conformance reports (NCR’S), drawings etc. Dealing with customers and third party inspectors which has enhanced my communication skills. Assessing work load as to use relevant resources so that monthly schedules are met. Assisting with continuo’s improvements within the area with tooling and equipment, and having the knowledge about the product and confidence to assist others to find solutions for any problems that arise in the assembly department.Fully managed the Foinaven SIT from the start to completion and shipment.My current role has given me the opportunity to join the Cameron’s Angola facility as a lead fitter being responsible for training and safe working of the local workforce within the assembly department.
