As a senior electrical design engineer I have worked with off and on highway automotive zero emission technology on and off for the last fifteen years. Over the last four years I have been responsible for the introduction of three extremely successful Lithium Ion battery powered, rough terrain mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) for a major multi-national with a manufacturing site in the region.I'm passionate about great engineering and pushing at the commercial boundaries. I'm particularly very excited about the massive potential in Hybrid Electric Vehicles / Machines (HEV/Ms) utilising hydrogen fuel cell technology. Firm believer in "you design it, you build the first one!" school of engineering practice as well as total holistic product life design - Is it easy to manufacture? Is it easy to troubleshoot and fix in the field?• Specialist in automotive Electrical Distribution Systems design and harness design from concept to production• Extensive Zero Emissions Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) systems design experience for construction plant and passenger carrying vehicles.• Intimate experience with 3D CAD packages including AutoCad Electrical, Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks specialising in 3D Harness design and integration. • Excellent practical working knowledge and appreciation in the standards, principles and practices of mechanical engineering, product design, manufacturing, related engineering disciplines. • Extensive project lead and management experience, including defining specifications, setting goals and objectives, project development, new product introduction, work planning and organization, budget monitoring and cost control.• Natural leader able to motivate, educate and inspire staff.
