left secondary school and went straight into an apprenticeship to become a domestic/commercial electrician, passed out of the 4 years with flying colours, continued in this trade for around another year working in all domestic/commercial and industrial surroundings. During this time i had always wanted to move on to bigger things and in 2008 i gained another apprenticeship with EDF energy, (now UKPN) to become an LV/HV cable jointer, at the start of 2012 i was promoted to the youngest "troubleman" on the company. This is what id been aiming for since i joined, being involved in LV/HV fault location/restoration and repair, upto 11KV. I take huge pride in my work in quality, neatness and tidyness! Im extremely interested in making my way up to being an EHV jointer, any contacts/ advise will be greatly received!

    started with EDF on a 2 year apprenticeship as a cable jointer, quickly progress and gained live working qualifications and HV jointing, completed all relevant NVQ's and city and guilds and practical assessments. During my apprenticeship i was lucky enough to work with mostly "old school" jointers, learning tradition methods and being shown to have great pride in your work! I only worked with faults jointers through out my apprenticeship so it was only natural for me to work towards gaining a trouble man role!
