Reporting to Arqiva’s Management Board, I was selected to manage a £1m Project Management Transformation Programme. This was successfully delivered £150k under budget. Deliverables included;Design, delivery and rollout of an integrated system solution and associated processes for effective project delivery and financial forecasting of Future Major Capital Programmes (including a £500m Programme commencing Sep-15)Definition and rollout of consistent and agreed Project Management methodologies (Policy, Procedures and System processes) across multiple business units within Arqiva (c. 200 Project Mgr.’s, £400m PA)

Managed the reporting and planning workstream of a £3.5m Finance Transformation Programme which included an upgrade to Oracle Financials to Release 12.Successfully delivered an End to End solution for Gross Profit accounting and forecasting to provide project, contract, customer and product management information for the Terrestrial Broadcast (£310m Turnover PA) and Satellite (£150m Turnover PA) Business units within Arqiva.The solution involved;Integration of Arqiva's contract billing system with Oracle Project Financials to enable Contract performance management alongside introducing month end management accounting processes within Oracle Projects. A self-serve, automated reporting suite was developed using Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) linked to Oracle GL & Project Financials to provide both Project / Contract / Customer Performance Reporting and Monthly Management Reporting. A Contract Profitability forecasting and budgeting model was also successfully delivered in Hyperion Planning integrated with the Contract Billing System and Oracle Financials.Other deliverables included the definition of an Arqiva Financial Reporting Strategy alongside highlighting areas within Arqiva where significant system / reporting / planning efficiencies could be made in the future.

Designed, planned and managed the successful delivery of a Hyperion Planning implementation (£1m Capital Expenditure) to deliver a forecasting and budgeting solution across Arqiva.The delivered solution has enabled Arqiva Finance to complete accurate, consistent projections over 24 months, across 5 Divisions with different modelling requirements. (Turnover c£825m, EBITDA c£400m, Capex c£200m, Employees c2200, valued at £5 billion) Key models developed included Turnover, and Cost of Sales (including product, market, customer, and contract analysis), Operating costs, detailed headcount & remuneration, Capital expenditure, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

The Digital Switchover Programme was the largest broadcast transmission project to have taken place in the UK, replacing analogue TV with Digital TV. (£710 million over 5 years to end 2012)I was responsible for ensuring required financial controls were in place throughout the project including the accounting framework, forecasting, business partnering and management reporting. Integrated systems, processes and managed business change following the takeover of National Grid Wireless by Arqiva.
