Duties here revolve around helping clients visualise their data / plant in an efficient and usable format to suit their needs. This is ever changing as every client has a different software infastructure and data requirements.This may be complete plant data capture / 3D model building to serve as a building block for future design work or transfer of static documents to portal viewing systems.Development / utilization of new data capture techniques to cater to clients unique plant conditions. This may include designing / coding a bespoke software solution of guiding clients as to the mosy efficient / innovative ways to use the software solutions that are currently available.This has provided me with the opportunity to work with laser scanning hardware from many of the current manufacturers including Leica , Trimble , Z&F , Faro as well as the recomended supporting software.I have also been fortunate enough to gain experience with a number of hand held scanning devices and software typically used in the metrology / component reconstruction industry. I have also worked extensively in the photogrammetry field using both traditional stereo photopairs for plant reconstruction as well as using multiple photos for mesh or model reconstruction.

My role here was to use stereo pair photogrammetry as a mass data capture technique to document the as built condition of process plant and machinery which was then used to facitilate 3D model build mostly to a Catalogue / Spec driven PDMS model.This role took me over to work in the USA as well as off shore in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
