General Manager - Carlin Complex
CurrentResponsibility and accountability for all Carlin operations within the Nevada Gold Mines joint venture between Barrick and Newmont and to safely deliver ~1.6 - 1.9 million ounces of gold produced per annum, from 6 underground mines, 3 open pits and 5 processing facilities (2 Roaster facilities, 1 Autoclave facility, 1 Concentrator facility and 3 separate Leach facilities and associated operational surface infrastructure stretching over a strike distance of approximately 64 km. The role includes the overall leadership and business accountability of the biggest gold mining complex in the world, responsible for ~3,700 Nevada Gold Mines and ~3,000 Contractor employees within a flat management reporting structure. Financial responsibility for an annual operating budget of approximately $1.8bn and sustaining/growth capital budget of $300-400m. Reporting to the Managing Director of the Nevada Gold Mines joint venture company.
