Gavin is a highly motivated, resilient & experienced leader with extensive Executive experience leading all aspects of operations, risk, change, support ops and sales with P&L and Balance sheet responsibility including income growth, cost leadership and provisions management.Gavin has enjoyed a broad range of senior leadership roles over 20 years commencing with operational responsibility for launching Bank of Scotland (BOS) Business Banking E Commerce capability in 1999. Gavin joined BOS Strategy and Programme Management delivering a number of significant change initiatives. In 2003 Gavin joined HBOS Business Banking, contributing to a significant business turnaround culminating with winning Business Bank of the Year three years in a row. Gavin took on additional responsibility for Change Management in 2007. In 2008, Gavin was appointed to the HBOS Commercial Board as Head of Telephone Banking with responsibility for all direct sales and relationship management across the group relative to SME's with a turnover of <£5 million. In March 2009 Gavin took up the position of Head of Operations, Group Customer Services, Lloyds Banking Group, integrating then leading the Customer Service functions from across both Lloyds TSB and HBOS including primary operational liaison between the Group and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Gavin joined Clydesdale Bank, as Director Customer Remediation and Customer Assist, a CF29 FCA Approved Person, responsible for the Group Complaint handling function and PPI remediation department with C 3,500 FTE in 6 sites. In addition to his PPI accountabilities Gavin was appointed Virgin Money Uk Chief Disruption Officer heading up the Group “Disruption Hub” driving innovation, agile delivery and disruptive technology.
