Having had a full career in the RAF, I left to start and run a Tree Surgery Business, while retaining my interest in military matters through a reservist career. Tree Surgery proved both challenging and rewarding, and a pragmatic complement to the policy, strategy and leadership challenges presented within the Service environ. I feel privileged to have held the Appointment of Inspector Royal Auxiliary Air Force, and having completed over five years in the post am looking forward to continuing my involvement in the development of the RAF Reserve in my new appointment as the Deputy Commandant General of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.
