As a Home Depot Lumber associate, some of the activities and tasks I do include operating the two saws for cutting wood, packing down product either on my own, operating the forklift, bringing product inside the store by using the forklift, spotting a fellow associate on the forklift, cleaning the various aisles, putting trash in the compactor, and operating the first phone. For closing, I made sure to front stack or pack down low products for a clean, to ensure an ideal close. When opening, I use the sidekick application to complete various tasks required before opening. Above all else, however, I make sure to put customers first and help however I can, which could include loading a customer's purchase, cutting wood, or helping them find a product.

As a Warehouse Shoe Selection (WSS) team leader, my primary duties included greeting customers, assessing their needs, and offering knowledge to guide decisions. Throughout the day, especially near closing time, I helped maintain the store's organization, restock shelves, and made sure the pricing on the shoes were correct. I assisted in fitting shoes, handling transactions at the cash register, and if opening, may have also helped with inventory tasks. At the register, I ensured brand loyalty by signing customers up for a free store account, which during my employment was nearly 95 percent.

As a team member of Finish line, my duties revolved around essentially the same as WSS, albeit at a smaller scale. This included providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness by straightening the shoes in the front, and restocking shoe sizes in the back. I also signed customers up for the Winners Circle membership at the register.
