I am a graduate from South East Technological University where i recently obtained a Bachelors of Arts (honours) in Tourism Marketing Second Class Honours Grade 2. I am also a 2020 graduate of Higher Certificate in Business in Tourism at Waterford Institute of Technology .My Qualification before the Higher Cert was a Level 5 Certificate in Tourism and Business at Waterford College of Further Education. My achievements are getting Bachelors of Arts (honours) in Tourism Marketing Second Class Honours Grade 2.Graduating Higher Certificate in Business (Tourism) which I received a Merit Grade-1, and obtaining a level 5 Qualification In tourism which I got a Distinction. Other Achievements include Co-publishing a project with a fellow volunteer from Clonmel Youth Information centre entitled Clonmel World War One Dead 1914 – 1918.This project was about the forgotten Clonmel WW1 dead. This achievement also developed my research skills because of the research involved from looking at Commonwealth War Graves Commission databases and academic sources from print and online. Another achievement that I am proud of is getting first-class honours in public speaking from the Leinster School of Music & Drama.I had previous experience in tourism when I completed work experience as part of Higher Certificate in business ( Tourism) when in 2019 for three months at Waterford Treasures, I gained valuable tourism industry experience in a tourism company.I also gained tourism experience at Clonmel Tourist Information Centre as part of my level 5. I experienced how a Tourism Information Office operates whilst dealing with tourists and providing essential Local, Regional, National tourism information. Also, during my time there, I helped create a modern op to date website that the old one was outdated. I developed a new user-friendly one to access tourist information and acted as a marketing tool to promote the town and local and national tourism. Apart from work experience within the tourism industry, I have done voluntary work with Clonmel Youth Information Centre, Part of Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Service. I volunteered with them from 2015 to 2017.Other Community projects that I helped and planned was a community project in 2017 with the High School of Clonmel and Garda Diversion programme, which was a trip to the Defence Forces Stephens Barracks in Kilkenny.
