Having graduated with an IMM, Gavin Campbell built the foundation of his career within Tiger Brands moving rapidly from sales into General Management. Having established his credentials within the South African market, Gavin moved into a Business Development Executive role where he was able to accelerate Tiger Brands M&A agenda and complete his MBA dissertation on “Post Acquisition Integration”. Currently at Premier Foods as the Managing Executive of the Grocery, Milling and International portfolios, Gavin has pioneered the exports and acquisition strategy for Premier resulting in solid organic and acquisitive growth. Gavin believes in the long game “Have confidence in your strategy and don’t just chase short-term profit”. A key part of the success of his long game is taking people along the journey and navigating the speed bumps. “Connect with the culture, connect with the teams, be visible, and know when to dial up and dial down strategy and operational execution” is part of the reason Gavin has been able to deliver year on year.
