I was employed in a hostile environment as a PSD Team Leader in Iraq being in charge of a team of 10 local nationals on a very busy and demanding contract in West Qurna Oil Fields. My role as a PSD Team Leader is to move clients to and from Basra for meeting in various locations around the city, deployed on bank missions where I could be handling large amounts of money and making sure it is transported to where it need to go safely and airport missions where I could be moving up to 100 clients coming into the country or going out of country on end of contract, which also includes the picking up of VVIP's coming into country for meeting and visits. As a PSD Team Leader I am responsible for the planning and executing those security missions from route planning to making sure all team members are trained and clear with the companies SOP's in the unlikely event of something happening when out on mission.

Over 9 years serving both UK and overseas, working in fast moving and multi- cultural environments. On occasion in conflict situations such as Iraq, 3 tours between 03 and 06 as 2ic and 3 tours in Afghanistan between 08 and 10 as Team Leader, Promoted to Team Leader (Cpl) in Apr 08. 2 of the tours in Afghanistan were deployed to Kabul managing a team providing armed security to high ranking officers and VIP’s around the city. Between 2006 and 2009 I was based in Cyprus as a 2ic and Commander of the QRF guarding high value and sensitive assets at a joint service signals unit. • Served as Section Commander, responsible for teams of personnel on operations overseas and the welfare of those personnel.• Produced and implemented training to ensure troops were up to date with Sqn SOP’s and TTP’s and providing continuation training and further development.• Weapons Instructor teaching and taking troops though weapon handling test from Grenade, Pistol, Rifle and high calibre machine guns before going onto live field firing getting ready for operations.• Live firing range supervisor and range conducting officer.• MSTAR (Man Portable Surveillance Target Acquisition Radar) Instructor.• Mastiff Commander on Operations in Afghanistan.• Produced reports on Flight members for appraisals.• Produced shift rosters and dealt with flight members welfare issues.• Battle field medic, providing medical assistance while on Operations.
