I have worked for Ibat College Dublin. My role here was to manage all day to day facilities across two campuses covering over 36,000 sq ft. College had a daily footfall of above 2000 students daily. I looked after all outside vendor contracts, review and re tender when necessary. I project managed all maintenance works and renovations in the college and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. Monitor KLA's and SLA's of outside vendors. I managed all in house cleaners and facilities services. I was also the appointed Health and Safety officer for both campuses which entails monitoring of the life safety systems, risk assessments and method statements preparation for any works being carried out in house and by contractors. I had full control of the BMS system for the building and worked very closely with the I.T department were we have completed successfully many upgrades to the campuses. I worked closely with all departments, having made good relationships with each manager; I mad sure all operations ran smoothly and efficiently. I wrote up regular reports of the facilities with details of service maintenance and preventive maintenance works where I would identify were cost savings can be made and improvements to the campuses.In the 7+ years of being employed there I had successfully reduced service costs by 20%, without affecting the service provided or the quality. I had successfully project managed several large scale renovation projects in two campus’s, increasing classroom numbers and in turn revenue for the college. Successfully managed security and increased logistics around the college to reduce cost of theft by 95%. In the last 18 months alone I completed a full renovation and fitout of a 21,000sq ft new campus and separately renovated a underground carpark into a new student canteen and staff office space; both of which I personally project managed and acted as Site Manager and PSCP. Projects where on time, under budget and extremely successful.

I have run a successful construction and maintenance company. The business was a 24hr call out service, so I was well used to putting in the hours. During this time I have come across every imaginable property problem you could think off, and I didn't give up till it was solved. I covered all areas including electrics, plumbing (commercial and domestic), tiling, decorating and all aspects of carpentry including roof work. Running my own company and working in so many different environments’ has made me very aware of the client and the client’s needs. This in turn has made me very approachable and a good all round people person.
