As the PMO Supervisor for the Aftermarket Projects group in SSA, I manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, recruitment and the establishment of goals and performance objectives. Continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities is performed to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment. I oversee training and competency building programs aimed at developing the project management team in SSA to successfully manage large scale global projects. My role requires the creation and maintenance of Project Management policies and procedures and ensure their use is enforced. I am responsible for the assignment of project managers and coordinators to various projects based on their individual competency level and the criticality, scope and duration on the project. My financial responsibilities include management of department budget and expenditures, adapting business/pricing models to incentivize commercial project management, and supporting marketing/sales for new proposal preparation in anticipation of new contracts. Financial results are maximized by monitoring project operations and coaching/goal setting towards improved efficiency.
